Independent businesses only, homepages checked in October 2026. Most of these are quick fixes, and each one costs enquiries.
Businesses with a website listed on OpenStreetMap or TrustATrader; chains and my own clients left out. Each homepage was opened once and checked for a tap-to-call link, a booking or ordering option, a phone-friendly layout and the page title. No business is named. Want yours checked?

Hampton Hill High Street is one of the most independent shopping streets in the area. It runs alongside Bushy Park, and it’s lined with cafés, restaurants, salons, gift shops and small services, with very few chains. Locals walk it, dog walkers stop for coffee on their way to or from the park, and families come for weekend brunch.
On a street full of independents, people choose between similar places all the time. Which café has space, which salon has an appointment this week, which restaurant is open on a Monday. The businesses that win are the ones whose Google listing and website answer those questions instantly.
I’m a London-based UX designer, and my clients are a short drive away in East Molesey and Kew: salons, restaurants, cafés and a garage. I don’t have a Hampton Hill client yet, but this is very much the kind of street I design for.
For a Hampton Hill business, the most useful setup is usually a fast mobile website with your menu, prices or services, online booking where it fits, and a Google Business Profile with plenty of real photos. Because the High Street has such a strong community feel, social media works well here too, especially behind-the-scenes posts, new menus and seasonal offers.
Be the easiest to choose: accurate hours, real photos, prices or a menu, and a one-tap way to book or call. Small details on Google and your website add up.
