Independent businesses only, homepages checked in October 2026. Most of these are quick fixes, and each one costs enquiries.
Businesses with a website listed on OpenStreetMap or TrustATrader; chains and my own clients left out. Each homepage was opened once and checked for a tap-to-call link, a booking or ordering option, a phone-friendly layout and the page title. No business is named. Want yours checked?

Cobham’s High Street and the surrounding roads are full of independent boutiques, restaurants, salons, interior designers and wellness businesses serving a well-off local audience. Painshill Park brings visitors, and the A3 and M25 put Cobham within easy reach of a wide area. Customers here expect quality, and they notice when a website doesn’t live up to the shop.
For a premium business, the website is part of the product. A slow, dated site with stock photos makes even an excellent salon or restaurant look average. In Cobham, where customers often compare two or three similar businesses before booking, the one that looks most polished and is easiest to book usually wins.
My background is UX and product design, so I care about the details: typography, photography, spacing and the steps someone takes to book or enquire. I’ve built websites for salons and restaurants in East Molesey, a short drive away, and I bring the same approach to every project.
Cobham businesses often benefit from a few things beyond the basics: online booking that feels as smooth as a big brand’s, a proper photo or video shoot so the site looks like the real place, and a Google Business Profile that shows off reviews and photos. For service businesses such as interior designers, consultants or private clinics, a strong portfolio or case study section can do a lot of the selling for you.
Good photography, generous spacing, clear typography and a smooth booking flow do most of the work. Cutting clutter is often more effective than adding features.
For premium businesses, usually yes. Real photos of your space, team and work build far more trust than stock images, and you can reuse them on Google and social media.
Yes. I can connect the booking platform you already use, or suggest one that fits how you work, so booking feels seamless from your website.
Yes. I work across Elmbridge, including Weybridge, Walton-on-Thames, Esher and East Molesey, where many of my clients are.
