Independent businesses only, homepages checked in October 2026. Most of these are quick fixes, and each one costs enquiries.
Businesses with a website listed on OpenStreetMap or TrustATrader; chains and my own clients left out. Each homepage was opened once and checked for a tap-to-call link, a booking or ordering option, a phone-friendly layout and the page title. No business is named. Want yours checked?

Shoreditch has been at the centre of London’s tech and creative scene for years. The streets around Old Street roundabout are full of startups, agencies, co-working spaces and design studios, alongside Boxpark Shoreditch, galleries and some of the city’s most talked-about bars and restaurants.
Further into Hackney, the feel shifts to neighbourhood independents: Broadway Market’s Saturday food stalls by London Fields, Columbia Road’s Sunday flower market, Dalston’s bars and Hackney Wick’s studios and breweries by the canal. These are businesses with strong identities, run by people who notice when a website is generic.
For startups here, the challenge is usually product, not just a website: turning an idea into a clear user flow, a prototype people can test, and an MVP that can launch. That’s my core background. I’m a UX and product designer, and I designed and built Shiftaan and SoonGuide myself, from research and wireframes to live products.
For independents, it’s about a site that matches the quality of the shop or venue, with booking or ordering that actually works. I’m happy to meet in Shoreditch or Hackney, at a co-working space or your studio, and give you a fixed quote for either kind of project.
Usually with a short product sprint: understanding the users, mapping the key user flow and testing a clickable prototype before anything is built. It saves a lot of money later.
Yes. I can deliver Figma designs and a design system for your team to build, or bring my own team to build the product too.
No. I also design websites for independent bars, cafés, studios and shops across Hackney.
Yes. My case studies, including Shiftaan, SoonGuide and OJO, show the full process from research to live product.
My MVP design and development starts from £4,995 for a lean first version, with a fixed quote after a short discovery call. A clickable prototype on its own costs less and is often the best first step.
